another quick co-lab with Matt (mattkohr.com)

just trading and doing paint-overs of our digital paintings to see what we could come up with. I would highly recommend this exercise just for fun, and I actually would be happy to do a painting trade with some more people when I have the time.

I began the top sketch, Matt began the bottom one, then we switched for about 30 mins or so. The new directions the sketches took were pretty startling.

here are some random park sketches. All done within 5-10 minutes with chalk pastel.
Ill probably take them down later, for now just looking for somewhere to put them.

Im thinking about using this as a production blog for a conceptual illustration project thats in the works for one of my classes. I feel really positive about where Im going with it, and Ive already gathered a small encyclopedia of reference material, Particularly a ton of old oriental painters and tibetian costume

Like always, its a learning experience, and as you focus on less conceptual elements you remember how important foundation knowledge really is
